This advanced session builds on foundational Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills from Part 1 and focuses on applying MI in complex, real-world interactions. Participants will learn how to navigate resistance, respond to ambivalence, and recognize opportunities to strengthen change talk without creating defensiveness.
Through practical examples and guided discussion, this session will help participants move beyond basic communication techniques into more nuanced, confident use of MI. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining connection while supporting accountability, setting boundaries without damaging relationships, and responding effectively when change feels stalled.
