Dr. Melissa DeVillier, Ph.D., LPC-S, is a Clinical Director at Promises Behavioral Health – Brazos Valley, where she leads clinical operations for a dual-diagnosis treatment program. She specializes in evidence-based, trauma-informed care and brings extensive experience in developing clinical systems that improve patient outcomes and support lasting recovery. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in an eclectic, integrative framework that incorporates somatic-based interventions, EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). In addition to her leadership role, she serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Cumberlands, where she teaches graduate counseling courses and mentors emerging clinicians. Dr. DeVillier is passionate about advancing clinical excellence, fostering clinician development, and expanding access to high-quality, ethical care for individuals impacted by trauma and co-occurring disorders.
